In 2010, Dublin Core turns 15 years old, and the DCMI will be celebrating the past and building the path forward for interoperable metadata. The tenth International Conference on Dublin Core and Metadata Applications will take place October 20-22 in Pittsburgh, PA, and is co-located with the annual ASIS&T conference. The theme of the 2010 conference is “Making Metadata Work Harder: Celebrating 15 years of Dublin Core”.
There are plenty of opportunities to get involved with the conference and to meet and share expertise and research about metadata. The Call for Papers has been issued (http://dc-2010.org/callforpapers.html). Beyond the conference theme, papers, reports and poster submissions are welcome on a wide range of metadata topics as listed in the call. The call is open until 2 April 2010.
Additionally, the DC team is seeking reviewers interested in helping review submitted papers. Those interested in serving as reviewers should contact the program chairs listed below.
